Day 1: Arrival Entebbe Airport-Kampala
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met and warmly welcomed by our guide followed by transfer to Serena Kampala Hotel (High End) or Cassia Lodge (Mid Range) or Ken Rock Hotel (Budget) for an overnight and dinner. Meal plan Dinner.
Day 2: Kampala – Queen Elizabeth National Park
Our guide picks you up at 7:30 am from your hotel. You will drive to Kasese via Fort Portal. Make the first stopover for Lunch in Kasese as you enjoy the winding scenery of the foot hills of Mt. Rwenzori, the Mountains of the Moon After lunch, a drive to Queen offers visitors an opportunity to enjoy beautiful scenery, followed by a 2 hours evening Boat cruise along the famous Kazinga channel for a chance to view Hippo, Bufallo, Kobs, Elephants, warthogs and several bird species. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Jacana Safari Lodge (High End) or Enganzi Lodge (Mid Lodge) or Ihamba Safari Lodge Bandas (Budget Facility) Meal Plan Lunch and Dinner.
Day 3: Queen Elizabeth –Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Begin your day with a cup of coffee. Early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile makes visitors encounter elephants, buffalo, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs and a variety of birds. Thereafter drive through the Ishasha Sector; this takes you through the unique western rift valley escarpment. If time allows take on a mini game drive in Ishasha sector – in search of tree climbing lions before proceeding to Bwindi forest National Park. Dinner and overnight stay at either Buhoma Lodge/Mahogany Springs/Gorilla Safari Lodge (High End) or Silver back Lodge/Chameleon Hill Lodge (Mid range) or Buhoma community Bandas/Wagtail Eco Camp (Budget facility) Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 4: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking
Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks and jungle boots. The guides will lead you inside the jungle in search of the shy Primates. Today you to track the rare Mountain Gorilla (Gentle Giants), perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but its well worth the effort. The afternoon is spent on a village walk.
The Buhoma Village Walk gives you a great opportunity to see how the people surrounding Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. It also is a great way to support the local community in a direct way. The Walk begins with your guide at Buhoma Community Rest Camp and is most informative, rewarding to the average visitor. It will amaze you how resourceful the local people are as you see and learn their ways. Dinner and overnight stay at either Buhoma Lodge/Mahogany Springs/Gorilla Safari Lodge (High End) or Silver Back Lodge/Chameleon Hill Lodge (Mid range) or Buhoma community Bandas/Wagtail Eco Camp (Budget facility) Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 5: Bwindi –Kampala/Entebbe / Depart
After breakfast, drive back Kampala, then Entebbe via Mbarara to Igongo Cultural Village to explore the life style and the culture of the Ankole and Bahima people; it is at Igongo center where the future meets the past. With lunch en route and stop over at Equator Uganda before transfer to Entebbe International Airport your evening/ overnight flight to your next destination.
